Iron, Manganese and Sulfide RemovalIron in your water causes ugly red stains that can ruin appliances, clothing and fixtures. Our Ironmax™ whole-house iron filter utilizes oxidation and filtration to effectively remove iron, manganese and sulfides.

Air Injected Oxidation – No Chemicals
The manganese greensand media bed is exposed to oxygen from outside air injected into the unit during regeneration activating the oxidizing capacity of the greensand. Iron, manganese and sulfides are oxidized into precipitates without the use of chemicals.
Filtration
Iron, manganese and sulfide precipitates are filtered and removed from the water by backflushing and regeneration of the media bed.
